So happy to learn from Norm last semester that the long-time assignment in DS106, the Daily Shoot (RIP), had been replaced with The Daily Create. Daily creative challenges not only spark your creativity, I think, but keep your creative muscles stretched and ready for the next workout. Creating becomes not such a big deal and helps you “cross over” which is the biggest gap Clay Shirky explains from doing nothing to doing something.
So I was thrilled to see that the first daily create for Camp MacGuffin asked us to “use photo editing software to redesign an image of an animal” (tdc134). Any excuse to take a pic of my cat Bruiser!
So here he is before and after a little attempt to bring out his feminine side.
